Guitarist and composer MIKE DeMICCO has toured extensively worldwide since 1980. For ten years, he performed and recorded with the acclaimed electric jazz quartet, The Dolphins, which also featured drummer Dan Brubeck. Mike leads
his own jazz group and has also performed & recorded with a wide range of jazz, blues and pop artists, including Warren Bernhardt, Jack DeJohnette, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Larry
Coryell, Peter Erskine, Nick Brignola, Chuck Lamb, James & Livingston Taylor and Michael Franks. He was featured guitarist on W.C. Handy Blues Award-winner Rory Block’s 1996 - 1997 “Tornado” tour of the US and Europe. Mike has
performed twice on PBS’ internationally syndicated series, “Jazz In America,” and at the major European jazz festivals. He offers clinics and maintains a private teaching practice: his three instructional videos, "You Can Play Jazz Guitar", are available from Homespun Tapes at www.homespuntapes.com
Mike and Dan
Brubeck were neighbors in Woodstock, New York for many years before Dan moved to California. They had a band
together, The Dolphins, that toured extensively and recorded 2 CDs for DMP.
